THIEVES at Tavistock Hospital and a scooter theft are among the Tavistock area crimes in this week’s #Newsfromtheblues police page.

• The padlock to the oxygen cage outside Tavistock Hospital on Spring Hill was cut between 5pm on January 12 and 8am on January 15. The cage is separate from the building and no access was gained. It was reported that the thieves saw the CCTV equipment, which stopped them from proceeding with the theft. CR/004343/18.

• A scooter was stolen from outside the front door of a property in Monksmead, Tavistock, between 9am and 5pm on January 9. The boys Mad Whip Pro X scooter, which had a picture of a skull on the frame, is worth £90. CR/004429/18.

• Eggs were thrown at a ground floor window of a property on Fern Terrace in Princetown between 5pm and 5.15pm on January 14. It was reported that youths were seen throwing the eggs at the window, which then broke and shattered the glass. CR/004184/18.
