VEHICLE vandalism and a theft from McColls are among the crimes in the Okehampton area this week.

• A DOG walker had the passenger side window of the car smashed and a handbag stolen with cards and £20 in cash. The incident happened between 4pm and 4.50pm on February 4 on the A3079 at Beaworthy. CR/010569/18.

• A BLACK BMW, parked on a driveway at Ingleigh Green in Winkleigh, had its driver’s door dented between 12.30am and 1am on February 3. CR/010228/18.

• A PUB in South Tawton had £250 worth of heating fuel stolen from a tank by the side of the building between 12.01am on January 30 and 4pm on February 2. CR/0109930/18.

• A BLACK BMW had its windscreen smashed and items stolen, including luggage, cards and £85 in cash. The vehicle was parked in the pay and display car park at Fernworthy between 1.30pm and 4pm on February 5. CR/010877/18.

• A BACK door to McColls on Fore Street in Okehampton was prised open between 3.41am and 3.46am on February 2. Tobacco and alcohol was taken, value unknown. CR/009451/18.

• A CITROEN C2 was vandalised when parked at Premier Parking on Market Street, Okehampton, between noon on February 1 and 8am on February 2. No entry was gained and nothing stolen. CR/009780/18.
