POLICE would like to speak to the driver of a white Ford Transit van following a road traffic collision on Monday, November 6 in Tavistock.

The incident, which saw a young man knocked off his bicycle by the van, took place at 4.20pm at the junction with Maudlins Lane and Callington Road.

The driver was reported to stop and ask if the young man was OK, to which he replied ‘yes’, and the driver then left the scene.

A police spokesperson said: ‘It turned out that the lad had a badly swollen knee and we need to trace the driver of the van as police need to speak to him. He is not in trouble, but details are required to be exchanged at an accident.
