POLICE are appealing for anyone with information about a car fire in Woodpecker Way, Tavistock on May 25 to come forward.

Multiple calls were made to fire control that there was a well-alight vehicle on the road in Whitchurch at around 2am. Firefighters attended and used breathing apparatus, hose reel jet and air foam jet, to extinguish the fire.

The vehicle was severely damaged by fire, with a second vehicle showing signs of smoke and heat damage only.

Police were in attendance. The blaze was extinguished by firefighters in the early hours of Friday, May 25 and police want to establish if it was arson. The crime reference number is CR/045379/18.
