OKEHAMPTON police are reminding drivers to slow down when entering certain parts of the town.

This week the police have noticed cars ‘seriously exceeding’ the 20mph limits on residential roads, including Mill Road and Crediton Road.

A police spokesperson said: ‘It has been brought to our attention that motorists have been seriously exceeding the speed limits through Okehampton town, especially Mill road and Crediton Road.

‘Please can I remind motorists that the roads above are a 20mph zone. Your local policing team will be carrying out speed checks in and around the town and dealing with speeding motorists accordingly.’
