POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an incident between Gulworthy and Bere Alston that has left one man in hospital with serious injuries.

Police were called at 10.35am on Saturday, October 15 with reports of a two vehicle collision having occurred on the B3257 between Gulworthy and Bere Alston.

The collision was between an orange coloured KTM Motorcycle and a red coloured heavy goods vehicle (HGV).

The 22-year-old male motorcyclist from Plymouth sustained a number of fractures to his legs and arms and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, where he remains in a serious condition.

The HGV driver was uninjured but suffered shock.
