A MAN received a head injury after an altercation took place between dog walkers in the Pound area of Yelverton this morning (Saturday, April 28), which resulted in a man receiving a severe head injury.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident, which took place at 10.30am.

The offender was described as a white man, 6ft tall, large build, greying hair and in his 60s. He was described as being ‘tidily dressed’ with a dark coloured coat, possibly green. He was described as having bright blue eyes and a walking stick.

A police spokesperson said: ‘He was in company with a white female also in her 60s who was short in height and wearing a black coat. They were walking two female black Labrador dogs.’
