A SIGN has gone missing from a lay-by on the way out of Tavistock.

In 1989, the Lions Club of Tavistock started the planting of daffodils around the town and to date, more than 10,000 have been planted — the majority in and around the Anderton Lane lay-by.

To publicise the fact they had been planted by the club, signs have been put out each year, one at the top of the lay-by and one at the bottom and this was done around two weeks ago. Now one of the signs has gone missing.

If anyone knows of its whereabouts, they should contact the club on 08458 334807 so its return and reinstatement can be arranged.
