POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an attack on an elderly man in Tavistock on Monday morning.

At around 10.50am the elderly man was attacked and left injured near the Ordulph Arms. An amount of cash was stolen and unknown persons drove off in a grey car.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that may assist officers in their enquiries is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference number CR/71931/16.
