A MAN was arrested for drink driving after an alleged incident which reportedly resulted in the death of a pony on Dartmoor in the early hours of Sunday morning on the Merrivale road to Princetown.

The man was located shortly after the incident at 1.45am. He was arrested and taken to Charles Cross Police Station in Plymouth and released under investigation.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
