SHOPLIFTING, driving off without paying for petrol and thefts are among the crimes to have taken place in the Tavistock area. #newsfromtheblues
• POLICE are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after the theft of a horsebox from a field in Yelverton.
The incident happened between 8.30am and 10pm on Monday, July 24 at Hackworthy Hill in an insecure field.
The double horsebox is described as faded light blue in colour and recognisable by work the owner has completed on the outside and underneath.

• Police arrested a man for drunk and disorderly behaviour at Tavistock Bus Station on July 27 between 5.45pm and 6.20pm. The man was arrested and taken to Exeter Custody. CR/062530/17.
• A green Peugeot 206 was stolen from a car park on Chapel Street, Tavistock, on July 24 between 11am and 4.45pm. CR/061763/17.
• A sweatshirt was stolen from Crew Clothing on Duke Street, Tavistock, between 3.40pm and 3.45pm on July 25. CR/062090/17.
• A silver Ford Fiesta left Morrisons Petrol Station on July 26 at 5.09pm without paying for £15 worth of unleaded petrol. CR/062154/17.
• A microwave and two vacuum cleaners were stolen from outside a home in Campion Rise in Tavistock on July 23 from 9.30am and 6.15pm. The items were outside her home for recycling when they were stolen. A vehicle would have been needed to remove the property. CR/061046/17.
• A man’s wallet was stolen from a trolley outside Co-op by Moorland Villas, Yelverton, while he was locking up his bike on July 24 between 3pm and 3.05pm. CR/061333/17.
