• Police are asking members of the public to remember, when attending rural locations for a walk, to ensure that all valuables are hidden prior to reaching the final destination and that nothing is left on display. The warmer weather is approaching and already thefts from motor vehicles have been happening across the area. Some vehicles have not been locked, so ensure that your vehicle is locked prior to walking away. Officers say criminals do not usually break into a vehicle that they either have not seen items being put into the boot or that do not have items clearly visible.
