POLICE are appealing for information after two men tried to kick down the door of a house in a housing estate in Tavistock.

They were disturbed by a neighbour opening the window of a nearby house and ran off shouting something like ‘sorry, wrong house’. Police said it was evident from the damage to the door that they were kicking it with considerable force.

Police are treating this incident as an attempted burglary. The two men were seen at around 6.45pm on Friday, November 25, so it would have been dark for about an hour.

The men are described as being between 18 and 25 and wearing dark coloured clothes, including hoodies. They had local accents.
