DETECTIVES from Tavistock CID are appealing for witnesses to a suspected arson incident at a property on Oak Road in Bishopsmead in the early hours of Monday, January 20.

Between midnight and 3.30am, two vehicles caught fire and were damaged beyond repair.

A police spokesperson said: ‘The flames from the blaze came dangerously close to the house owned by the owners of the vehicles. The local fire brigade attended this incident to extinguish the blaze and the vehicles were recovered from the scene.

‘Detectives are now working together with specialist fire investigators to ascertain the cause of the fire.’
