A MAN from Tavistock has gone to the effort of organising not one, but 31, quizzes throughout October in aid of St Luke's Hospice.
The month long 'OctobeQuiz 31 quizzes across 31 venues' is the brainchild of Shaun McDermott from Horrabridge.
The event began on October 1 in Elburton and will travel from Walkhampton to Lewdown and from Princetown to St Ann's Chapel.
Shaun, who owns 'Pens and Moor' in Tavistock Pannier Market, said he wanted to run 'something different' that could get people from all across the local areas involved and help to raise money for charity.
He said: 'We shall be venturing from Looe to Launceston to Kingsbridge and many towns and villages in between, culminating in a big last night finale at Tavistock Town Hall where the aim is to have at least 31 teams.'
This Saturday (October 11) the quiz will be at the Walkhampton Inn, Walkhampton, at 8.30pm. Entry is £2 per person, maximum of six people per team. For more information and a list of where further quizzes are being staged find OctobeQuiz on Facebook or call 079234 36948.
