WITH a local election in May next year, and a possible referendum on changing the voting system for electing MPs to the UK Parliament, now is the time for people to ensure they are registered to vote.

West Devon Borough Council's electoral office is sending out its annual canvass form to be completed by all householders and they will be dropping on doormats soon.

If your details remain unchanged, electors are able to register online, by Freephone or by text to confirm their information.

These options are only available to households where the details remain unchanged. Information about how to use the different options are available on the information sheet included with the canvass form.

This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the canvass period.

Those households whose circumstances have changed, must complete the forms as normal and return them by post.
