?HOLD on to Hope? was the subject of a talk in Tavistock by former BBC director of marketing, Jayne Ozanne. The talk was part of the Taste and See programme for women, which is organised by a group representing churches in Tavistock and the surrounding area. The talk and dinner were enjoyed by 110 women at Tavistock College. Ms Ozanne is based in London and has a high profile background, having also worked with Proctor and Gamble. She outlined her life story, which included suffering a major breakdown which forced her to re-evaluate her priorities. She has subsequently been involved in international Christian charity work, in particular in the Middle East and working with Muslim cultures, and has also carried out research for the Church of England. The next dinner will be on Thursday, March 30 at the college, when Camilla Grosch-Miller will talk on ?Island Identities? and some of the issues she encounters as an American living in Britain.
