SOUTH Zeal took the lead after 15 minutes on Saturday when Darren Gilbert latched onto a through ball from Graham Soby and was pulled down in the penalty area, Nick Pollard duly dispatched the spot kick for a 1-0 lead.

Winkleigh were always dangerous and could have equalised on several occasions but Zeal went 3-0 with goals from Harley Cann and Darren Gilbert before Winkleigh scored to reduce the deficit 10 minutes from half time.

Harley Cann's second goal, just before half time, put the visitors 4-1 up going into the second half which started with Winkleigh pushing forward in an effort to get back into the game.

The visitors started to break on the home side with regularity and went 5-1 up when Harley completed his hat-trick then after Dan Wakeham and Darren Gilbert hit the Winkleigh woodwork Redd Cann completed the scoring five minutes from time after breaking through and scoring from close range..
