THERE was great success for Tavistock Wheelers Youth cycling team at the recent Exeter Wheelers Go Ride cyclo cross race.

Eva Brown won the girls under 12s while there was a 1-2-3 for the club in the boys U12s with Tom Brown winning, Ryan Kingdom second and Josh Jago/Henry Marshall in joint third.

In the U14s Rosie Andrews, who also rides for the Pilgrim Flyers, won the girls ride.

Leo White came second in the U14s boys and Dan Adams fourth, though he was much younger than other competitors

The Tavistock Wheelers youth group is enjoying success at present, the group now has six qualified coaches and 35 children attending its Saturday sessions

Though there is a waiting list, the club is always seeking more enthusiastic riders between 9 and 14 years, more information through the Facebook group Tavistock Wheelers Youth Cycling.
