THE weather has played havoc with Tavistock Golf Club's fixtures with competitions postponed until more settled weather.

The conditions were slightly kinder for the annual Club Captain versus Club Secretary's match.  The result was a 10-8 games win for the secretary's team. 

'I am really pleased,' said Secretary Jonathan Coe, 'For this is only the second win we have had in eleven years!'  

The men's Saturday Bottle Trot was postponed until the end of the month because of the weather but the Sunday Bottle Trot was played. Colin Nolan topped division one with 43pts, second Will Stenhouse 41 pts, third Mike Wakely 40pts on count back from Dave Burge, Alan Gawman and Mark Taylor. 

With 40pts Kevin Lethbridge was first in division two, second Julian Collinson 39pts on countback from Dan Pratley and Lester Francis. 

The weather was better for the Moorland Links medal with David Young scoring a nett 68 in division one, second Ken Kendall nett 70 and third was Rick Harrison with a nett 71. 

In division two Tom White was first with nett 69, second Keith Stenhouse nett 70 on countback from John Thewlis. Matt Johnson scored a superb nett 67 beating Scott Pavey on countback. Third was Luis Inacio with nett 72.   

Despite wind and heavy showers Sally Hills scored a nett 71 to win the Grandmother's Cup.  Second in division one Fran Horton nett 77 on count back from Donna Gage. In division two Carolyn Crawford was first with nett 80, second Jenny Kay nett 85, third Sally Timpson nett 86.

In the Junior Stableford George Bumford had 37pts and Joshua Lethbridge 28pts.
