Both Chagford teams enjoyed mixed fortunes over the Easter weekend, winning and dropping points equally.

Chagford Reserves got off to a Good Friday flyer beating neighbours North Tawton Reserves 5-0, goals from David Jordan (2), Zak Fehim, Dan Elphick and Jai Minett.

The game was fairly open until Chagford's third went in on 70 minutes, the visitors having fought well. Unfortunately, Chagford Reserves were not so hot on Monday, going down 4-2 to Amory Park Rangers, Will Hutchison and an own goal for the hosts.

Chagford lost 1-0 at home to Topsham Reserves on Saturday and admitted they had not played at their best.

The visitors' goal came just before half-time from Dale Joy who popped up at the far post to nod home a header when totally unmarked.

Monday's trip to Pinhoe suddenly appeared a lot more important but the whole side responded excellently, coming home with a 5-0 win of their own.

Billy Searle led the way with a cool 35th minute finish. Chagford dominated throughout and ran amok after the break.

An own goal, two goals from Luke Mortimore and a first from Ben Pidgeon lifted the side up two places in the relegation dog-fight.
