LAVINA Marshall is passionate about building a community centre for the village of Lifton and is running the Dublin marathon on October 26 to raise more funds. This will be her second marathon in aid of the charity this year.

She told the Times: ‘The villagers and people in the surrounding area, of all ages, deserve a place where they can meet, play sport and enjoy a variety of activities together, in pleasant surroundings.’
