TAVISTOCK U13s moved to the top of the Palladium League with another impressive performance, this time against previously unbeaten Plymstock.
Batting first two quick wickets bought together Matt Owen and Callum Worth. They batted patiently to start and then started to increase the run rate.
Worth with 58 not out and Owen 36no added 117 unbeaten runs, posting a challenging 132 for Plymstock to chase. As is becoming the norm, Tavistock fielded and bowled with great discipline, restricting the opposition to 110 for 9 in their 20 overs.
Dan Gibbs was the pick of the bowlers with 4 for 17 and Callum Worth with 2 for 10. Myles Pinkney excelled in the field as did all the boys.
TAVISTOCK U13s welcomed a highly fancied Yelverton team containing 10 county and district players to The Ring.
Having won the toss, Tavistock batted first and added 47 in the first six overs before losing their first wicket. Ben Milligan 20, Dan Towl 32 and Chris Poyntz 30 all batted well, helping to post 107.
The Tavistock bowlers and fielders were on top of their game from the start, and wickets fell regularly, with Yelverton all out for 56 inside 14 overs. Poyntz with 3 wickets, Milligan 2, Towl 2 and Callum Worth with 2, shared the wickets.
