Beacon Knights U16s 1
Oke Argyle U16s 3
OKEHAMPTON started brightly and deservedly took the lead after five minutes. After good work down the right, Ben Bickle crossed a quality ball in to Ross Voaden who flicked the ball on for Tom Stanbury to volley home. Argyle continued to dominate although Beacon equalised against the run of play.
Parity was not kept for long though as Ross Voaden took control of the ball and broke through the Beacon defence, shooting across goal for Tom Stanbury hit in the lead. Argyle kept their lead intact to the interval thanks to a superb save from Aaron Dearing.
The second half started even better for Argyle as they doubled their lead within a minute. Josh Stanbury cut inside from the left before firing home a low right foot shot in to the corner. Beacon came more in to it and piled more players forward in search of goals. The Argyle defence of Bickle, Gross, Taylor and Alford held firm though with few scares and when they were breached the home side found Dearing in imperious form.
Oke Argyle U15s 5
Budleigh Salterton U15s 0
THE first half was fairly evenly matched with Argyle going ahead with a goal from Tallon. However the boys new found determination really paid off with four more goals from Charlie Maskell.
The Oke defence played well with a good performance from their keeper Jaden which led to a well deserved final score of 5-0 for the Oke team.
