THE celebrations for the Tavistock Specials football team presentation night was iced with a £1,500 sponsorship from Tavistock Tyres.

On his 19th birthday Harry Sharp received most improved player award — named after his late grandfather Doctor Winfield.

Awards went to Oliver Jessop in the under 12s, Jack Talbot U16s while the club man trophy went to Mark Ralph, the club's inspirational centre half!

Ben Burnard won his goalkeeper award and then played all the latest dance tracks to finish off the fun evening in the Tavy Club. Flowers, vouchers and thank yous made for a friendly evening as the Specials move into their sixth year.

Allen Lewis, co-founder of the Specials, said: 'With plans for the new season coming in to place we hope to see more younger players join the club.'
