LAST weekend four members of Tavistock Triathlon Club travelled to The New Forest to take part in the Enduroman Festival of Ultra Events.

Emma Coole completed the 3-2-1 swim and was first female and third overall. On the Friday she had to swim 7.2miles, the Saturday 4.8miles and Sunday 2.4miles.

She finished in a total time of 6 hours 44 minutes.

Laura Newton and Andrew Bowden completed the Half Enduroman Triathlon – a 1.2mile swim, 58 mile cycle and 13.1 mile run to finish. Andrew came third overall in 7 hrs 6mins and Laura was first female in 7hrs 35mins. 

Nathan Newton completed the Double Enduroman Continuous Triathlon.

This race was a five mile swim, 233 mile cycle and 53 mile run. Nathan became the 2018 champion when he completed it all in a total time of 28hours and 38mins.

He only stopped for food and to change clothes but he managed to set a new record on the bike course and finished over four hours ahead of the next competitor.
