TAVISTOCK Triathlete Club trio Pete Tomes, Craig Howells and Pete Moyse completed the Hope 24 hour endurance race last weekend at Newnham Park.

They took part in a 24 hour non stop running event in a small team of three. The event saw more than 500 runners take on this brutal event which runs around Newnham Park on a five-mile off road hilly route. Pete, Craig and Pete all covered 50 miles individually and a total of 150 miles.

They finished first small team and fifth overall, covering over 15,000 ft of elevation and burning over 30,000 calories during the race.
