LAST weekend saw lady Bere Alston Trekker Cally Barnes and Hazel Bickley representing their club at the Muddy Duck 10K.

This popular annual race staged by Plymstock Road Runners is an evening event, and comprises a single lap 5K fun run, followed by the main event, a two-lap multi terrain 10K course which includes footpaths, woodland trails, river crossings and public and private roads around the Radford Park area of Plymstock.

The weather conditions made for an arduous race for all competitors, and Hazel and Cally crossed the line in 68 minutes and 71 minutes respectively (pictured with running partner Sarah Holland of Tamar Trails Runners).

The next outings for the BATs will be the Tavistock Town Relays on 13 July, hosted by Tavistock Athletic Club, and the Magnificant Seven on 16 July, hosted by Tamar Trotters.
