SIX year old Ellie Blamey from Bere Alston and her Shetland pony Collytown Free Spirit ended the 2012 show season in style by winning the National Show Award Scheme for the second year running.

This year was a real challenge with so many shows in the region being cancelled due to adverse weather and water logged venues, the rules of the Award Scheme are strict with results only accepted from affiliated shows and each result must be under a different Judge.

Although Ellie was unable to compete at the full quota of shows allowed, her high placements and championships at the shows that did go ahead gave her a strong chance at the title and she was delighted when she was once again placed top of the leader table and received her stunning engraved glass memento.
