TIP-TOP table tennis skills from a group of dedicated Okehampton youngsters has led to them bringing home three prizes from the South West schools' table tennis teams championships in Plymouth.

Okehampton Primary School had a girls' and boys' team at the event, competing against the best teams from every South West county in the under 11 age group. Okehampton College were represented by their under 16 boys team, who were also representing the county after previously winning the Devon schools' team championships.

During the day all teams were challenged by some of the top players in the region. The Okehampton boys' team finished runners up in the South West, and will compete in the national regional finals on February 24 in South Croydon.

Both the Okehampton Primary girls' team and the Okehampton College boys' team became South West schools teams champions, and will be competing at the National Zone finals in Bournemouth on February 23.

At the zone finals, all teams will compete against team champions from other regions.
