AFTER such a promising season, the Thistles U14s team coming second in the cup final is nothing to be ashamed of after defeat against Tamerton Foliet.

The Tavistock boys have worked hard this season showing great team effort and continual persistence.  

Tamerton were strong from the start but Thistles never gave up the pace, and were always on there tails. Earlier in the year Thistles drew with Tamerton so the Tavistock boys knew it was going to be a tough match.

The first goal came from Tamerton but this was quickly followed by an equaliser from from Thistles' Charlie Fayre.

In the second half Thistles came at Tamerton much stronger and faster but to no avail, Thistles scored a second but Tamerton went on to win by 5-2.

Tavistock Thistles will be taking part this Saturday in the Son Rise Cup.
