THIRD in the Tavistock Snooker League Conservative B made no mistake with a resounding five frame romp against bottom placed Conservative C.
After a reasonable start by the C team's Jago it was soon that the B team's McKechnie pulled away to finish comfortable winner. A couple of one sided frames then ensued as Monk and Lillicrap for the B team out classed Gliddon and Ward, who could find little to offer in defence.
Con C's Neale put up more of a fight but it was ultimately the steadier snooker from Dolan that eventually prevailed.
Things looked brighter for Con C in the final frame as Wilkinson opened up a reasonable gap on Ewings only to watch it slip away as Ewings eventually got his act together to catch up and then to pull away to complete the rout.
West Devon B showed again what a 'Jeckle and Hyde' team they are by putting in a good shift to remove a good West Devon D side.
Paul Shrimpton piled the agony on a struggling John Rich to win convincingly to hand West Devon D the lead. The lead was soon snubbed out courtesy of another fine performance from this season's surprise package, Gilchrist, as he took a black ball win over Decieco. Rooke continued West Devon B's momentum holding his nerve to take out May in another black ball finish.
The win for West Devon B came with Hoare getting the better of Shoulders in an eventually comfortable frame. Hooper made the score look respectable for the West Devon D side with an impressive, if low scoring frame, against Roger Rich.
