AT the annual meeting of Chagford Cricket Club there was a change at the top as Mike Wreford stood down as president after six years in the post.
Julian (Ted) Wray was elected in his place. Ted has served the club since 1957, as a player, captain. committee member and groundsman.
Chairman Bryce Rundle, secretary John d'Arch-Smith and club captain Del Lammonby were all re-elected, with Chris Mount as captain of the second team and Ed Vereker of the thirds.
The club have once again entered a side on the 20 over midweek South Devon competition.
The club will have three teams in the Devon League, with a Sunday XI in the South Devon League.
Chris Mount gave a report on the youth section, which proved a success again in 2014, with several of the players receiving recognition in different age groups.
With the number of games at different levels, the club is in need of umpires and scorers and in this respect there is a one day refresher course for umpires on Sunday, April 26. Anyone interested contact Mike Wreford on 01837 52932 or Bryce Rundle on 01647 433581.
