THE flipper rudder from one of Weir Quay Sailing Club's boats was lost from the stern during one of the club's dinghy training nights and despite the valiant efforts of Rob Kirby it remained lost in the river.
On Sunday, July 5 at Weir Quay, a riverbed team of ten was assembled at low tide to search for the lost equipment. After a muddy hour and a half, the rudder was found with smiles from the team as they proudly displayed the fruits of their endeavours.
Thanks were expressed to everyone in the team and to Chris Coomber who located the rudder.
