THE 25th Grizzly multi-terrain race in Seaton, East Devon was described as 'Every hill has a silver lining' - a term that Tavistock Athletic Club and Bere Alston Trekkers would not dispute.
Dotty Allan, one of those who took part said: 'It was the hardest race any of the team had ever done. Twenty plus miles of hills and hills and a thigh deep bog. The Grizzly also has a Cub event which is 8.5 miles of very similar terrain, which three of the team took part in. Team Grizzly, who were made up of BATs and TACs battled the heat, ran through shingle, climbed hills, dragged themselves through bog and climbed a side of cliff before a sprint finish.
First home was Becky Mingo who knocked off over 30 minutes from last years time. Becky was chased home by Steve Watson. Hannah Colston also ran an event personal best. The team thanked their support crew Phil King and Claire Pitcher.
