TAVYSIDE Badminton moved up to second place in Medley division three of the Plymouth Badminton League as a result of the recent win over Notre Dame School based Kuasa Badminton Club.

This week in the Beckley Cup, an inter-club handicapped competition, Tavyside Badminton entertained the top team in the league, Victoria. All Tavyside Badminton can be certain of is that they will receive the handicap and, beyond that, it will be up to the players to play their best and earn as many points as possible in each of the 18 games to be played.

Tavyside Badminton continues to run its Saturday morning coaching sessions for junior players of all ages and abilities. A number of the junior players are now playing representative badminton for Tavyside Badminton in the league and cup matches.

The local Plymouth Junior Badminton Tournament takes place on Sunday, February 8 and almost all the Tavyside Badminton junior players will be taking part in the tournament.
