TAVISTOCK Tennis Club hosted a successful open day earlier this month as part of the Great British Tennis Weekend.

Tennis Mad provided free coaching and offered a range of activities for all ages, including cardio tennis for the adults and mini tennis for kids.

Run by Rhys Dunford, the event saw more than 50 people in attendance, including children from as young as four to teenagers. The club, on Plymouth Road, also welcomed more than 20 adults.

Ben Knight, sirector of Tennis Mad, said: 'I'm very pleased, it was a big success and hopefully it will raise the profile of tennis and Tennis Mad's coaching services at the tennis club.'
