IN the Devon County smallbore rifle championships held in June at Budleigh Farm, Moretonhampstead, members of Tavistock Miniature Rifle Club achieved some commendable results in the face of strong opposition.

In the lightweight sporting rifle category Tavistock A team won team events in both the sport rifle event and in the 25metre/50metre aggregate competitions.

In the individual competitions a silver medal was won in the LSR Sport competition (class B) and a gold medal in class C.

In the 25metre/50metre aggregate competition club members also won gold and silver medals were won in Class B.
