TAVISTOCK Golf Club has been on a winning streak.  In the ladies' county championships held at Tiverton Golf Club the Tavistock team  of Gilly Jarvis, Jayne Wright and  Kayleigh Cann won the handicap team prize. 

Kayleigh also won the gold medal for the best gross score and had a hole in one on the 14th while Gilly has also been selected to represent Devon in the inter county match to be held at Woodbury this month.

In the Dartmoor fours it was tight at the top but the winners with 72 points were Tavistock's George and Nicky Gawman on countback from Yelverton's Noel and Mair Preston-Jones with the Tavistock pair Mike and Sue Coles also with 72 pts.  

Players in the men's Whitsun Bowl  faced a strong cold wind but Paul Hall in division two scored an excellent nett 69.  Second behind Paul in was Rob Score with nett 72 on countback from Andy Furse.

First in division one was Nigel Roberts with a nett 73, second Mark Rawles nett 74 and third was Steve Dickinson nett 75. 

In the ladies' Stableford, first in division one was Kayleigh Cann on 36pts, second Jayne Wright 34 pts on countback from Belindas McSherry. 

In division two Teresa Hughes had 37pts, second Hazel Cash 35pts and third Sam Avens with 34pts.  Joy Harrison in division three had a 42pts, second Pat Pope 37pts and third was Sue Bailey with 34pts.
