TAVISTOCK faces a very physical and combative side for the first game of the season.

The young Tavistock side kept their heads and remained calm. The game was a very tight contest from the start. The experience of the East Devon side and the youth and energy of Tavistock created a tight contest. The game ebbed and flowed with Tavistock creating the better chances.

East Devon continued to look dangerous on the break but could not get past a stalwart Tavistock defence. The match eventually broke in the home side’s favour when Walker slapped in a loose ball to break the deadlock.

The game continued in a close contest but following a great switch around the back and some slick passing, Andrews finished off a fine move and put the game out of sight.
