TAVISTOCK Athletic Club members took part in the Muddy Duck 10 kilometre run in Plympton — and took to it like ducks to water.

This was a two lap multi-terrain course taking in grass, footpaths, woodlands, water crossings and a short distance of private road around Radford Park and surrounding areas.

Three Tavistock runners took part in the race with Sam Lake coming third lady home; Jason Shipton was eighth for his age category and Pete Bazley won his age category.

There were 130 runners and although the weather was not exactly ‘summer’ it was, though, lovely running weather.
