THE achievements of 2017 were celebrated by Tavistock Swimming Club members, parents and coaches at their annual presentation evening last month in Tavistock Town Hall.
The club welcomed deputy Mayor of Tavistock Paul Ward and his wife Jane, who helped with the presentations.
Medals and ribbons were presented by head coach James Lake to members who had achieved success in the short and long course club championships and the Imps Gala. club captains and vice captains for the forthcoming year were presented with their club t-shirts.
Short distance trophy winners: girls’10/U Ruby Montgomery; boys’ 10/U Joel Lake; girls’ 11-12 Martha Miles; boys’ 11-12 Peter Ray; girls’ 14/U Emily France; boys’ 14/U Alfie Morgan; girls’ 16/U Sarah Teague; boys’ 16/U Jake France; girls’ 17/O Olivia Bates, boys’ 17/O Nathaniel Rookes.
Long distance trophy winners: girls’ 14/U Amy Roberts and Hannah Walker; boys 14/U Peter Ray; girls’ 15/O Sarah Teague; boys’ 15/O Jake France; 400m freestyle cup – girls’ Sarah Teague; boys’ Jake France.
