THREE of the senior swimmers at Tavistock Swimming Club competed in the Devon Seniors and Masters Gala at Tiverton and produced some good swims, with a number of medals.

Competing in the 15 to 16 years senior girls age group, were Harriet Edwards and Izzy Teague. This gala was a landmark gala for Izzy as it was her first ever individual gala, having competed previously only in team galas for Tavistock Swimming Club. Izzy achieved some personal best times and also a silver medal in the 200m freestyle. Harriet also swam well winning a silver medal in the 100m breaststroke and a bronze medal in the 50m breaststroke.

Joint boys' club captain Nathaniel Rookes competed in the 17 to 18 years senior boys section and achieved medals in each of his five events. Nathaniel won two golds in the 100m backstroke and 100m IM, which was backed up with silver in the 50m backstroke and bronze medals in the 50m and 100m freestyle.

The club congratulated the three swimmers for their great swims at this gala, which is early in the swimming competitive season, and produced some personal best times.
