THE?Tavistock Wheelers Cycle Club’s Gavin MacDougall rode home to an impressive second place in a national championship earlier this month.

Gavin took part in the RTTC National Closed Circuit Time Trial Champs at Thruxton Race Course on October 15. From a large field of 172 riders, comprising of both seniors and veterans, He bagged the National Age Group Champion-ship (aged 50-54) as well as second veteran overall. He was also placed 17th overall in the seniors and veterans.

Gavin has now added to his earlier success of the Welsh 12 Hour TT Championship silver medal as well as other club records.
