LAMERTON Pony club had a successful weekend in Bodmin to take part in the North Cornwall Pony Club triathlon/tetrathlon.

The Lamerton mini girls team (aged 8 and 9) consisted of Kelly Prep pupils Katy Miles, Lottie Trevethan and Heidi Littlejohns and Trekenner School pupil Lucy Steven.

On the first day triathlon competition the girls complete shooting an .177 airpistols, cross country run over 1,000 metres and then a timed swim. Katy Miles came first overall and also won the best swim award, with Lottie Trevethan third with the team sixth overall.

On the second day, Katy, Heidi and Lucy went on to complete the tetrathlon part of the competition adding the cross country riding phase. Katy was second overall with Lucy third with a Best Ride award and Heidi eighth in her first competition.
