ONCE more the Devon Ability counts football leagues had a successful event, this time held at the Stover School grounds near Newton Abbot.
This league proves how friendships are more important than winning matches and seeing all the teams from different parts of Devon catch up with each other.
High fives, laughter and jokes with a bit of football, mud and bacon baps thrown in makes these fixtures so important to the lives of its members and followers. The Tavistock Stars led by Bobby Upham played some terrific football with great saves from keeper Ben Burnards, terrific battling from Jake, Dean, Jordan, Louie and James.
The Tavistock Diamonds had some tough games but eventually found their shots on target with Harry Sharp scoring a hat-trick, a solo effort by Mark the Shark Ralph and some sneaky goal hanging touches from Andy Trigger and Sean Edney.
