NEARLY 600 participants from across the county, including those from West Devon, with pan-disabilities took part in the Devon Winter Ability Games at The Life Centre in Plymouth.
It is part of the Sainsbury's School Games with more than 70 young people from local schools and colleges crucial in helping to organise the event.
Commonwealth Games medallist Katherine Endacott was present at the event as the games' sporting champion.
Various competitions and taster activities were on offer including boccia, indoor rowing, tennis, table cricket, golf, dance, badminton, archery, indoor athletics, bowls and swimming.
Lucy Bowmer from Active Devon said: 'The event has already received some great feedback and on the day, it was clear to see from the countless number of smiles that it was an enjoyable experience, with many participants walking away with a medal.'
