THE Tavistock Specials FC has been nominated for a Community Sports Award to be held at the Plymouth Pavillions on Monday, December 3.

Manager and joint club founder Allen Lewis said: 'Five clubs were shortlisted so it will be exciting to be at an evening where Olympic medalists and other sports personalilites will be attending. Lets hope we can do well for Tavistock!

'Its a huge honour to be recognised and we are all very proud of our wonderful little club where we see peoples lives change in front of our eyes.'
