SUPPORTING the South West team who won the Endurance GB Inter Regional Championships at the weekend in of Barbury Castle on the Marlborough Downs, Wiltshire was a 17 year-old rider from Lydford.

Abby Chisholm riding her mother Jo's 21year old Arab gelding Grey Medlar — who was reserve champion in the second biggest class, covering 80 miles over the two days. Grey Medlar has now reached an incredible 7,200k competitive miles over his 15 year long endurance career.

The South West have won the Endurance GB Inter Regionals Championships at the two day endurance ride held at in Wiltshire at the weekend.

On a sweltering hot weekend with high humidity thrown in for good measure, the SW riders kept cool heads and got all their horses round the undulating hill course over the Ridgeway. Class distances ran from 60 miles down to 20 miles with both experienced and novice horses and riders included in the 14 strong team.
