THERE was a great turn out for this annual Okehampton Sports Festival squash open.

The finals were contested between Leo Gilbert  and Dave Harwood for the plate competition, and Phil Kemsley contesting the main draw against Ed Bewes.

There were some close matches throughout the tournament, with the handicap system contributing to evening out the standards across the draw.

In the end Phil and Dave came out victorious in closely fought contests. There are some great developments at Okehampton Squash and Racquetball Club with major works funded by  Sport England going on over the summer.
